Strava Track Club Signs Partnership with rabbit

We are excited to announce an official apparel partnership with rabbit!  rabbit is locally based in Santa Barbara, with a bold mission to create the very best running apparel.  Strava Track Club is thrilled to partner with rabbit because of the shared values and commitment to make an impact in the sport of running.    

Starting this spring, keep an eye out for our new uniforms!  Strava Track Club athletes will wear rabbit apparel in training and racing.  Additionally, four Strava athletes will also join the RADrabbitPRO team, receiving support to aid in their pursuit to achieve dreams, one mile at a time.

Newcomers Added for Fall 2016

Each year, we are always excited to welcome new athletes to the fold as work and school begin for the fall.  Meet some of our newest faces hoping to make an impact in 2016-17.

 

Bryan Crook

Bryan is a local product, looking to springboard from a career at Santa Clara to post-collegiate success.  Bryan has already broken the tape in his first pro win, a comfortable victory at the San Jose Rock 'n' Roll 5K.  Mark: 14:29When not running:  Coaching at Bellarmine Prep, his alma mater, working at a local start-up, and applying to medical school.

Trevor Halsted

A Davis High and UC Davis grad, Trevor was named the Aggies' top senior student-athlete in 2016. With strong All-Big West credentials in the 5K/ 10K, Trevor is looking to build on those while also pursuing competitive triathlon.  Marks:  3:48/13:58/29:14.  When not running:  1st year grad student at Stanford in Mechanical Engineering.

Matt Leach

Matt is already a familiar face, as a recent grad from the University of San Francisco where he was a standout competitor in the distances for the Dons.  Originally from the UK, Matt competed for Cambridge University as an undergrad, where he captained the Hare and Hounds in 2013-14. Marks: 3:47/14:05/29:14 When not running: Working at Google.

Collin Leibold

Collin just concluded his collegiate eligibility at Stanford, after finishing our four years at Georgetown with a 2nd team All-American campaign in the 5,000m.  He's beginning his post-collegiate career at the CVS Downtown 5K in Providence this month, his first foray into US championship racing.  Marks:  3:42/7:59/13:50  When not running: Epidemiology MS candidate at Stanford.

Victoria O'Neil

A veteran competitor for Brown University at several Ivy League Championships in cross country and track, Victoria has relocated to the west coast and hopes to build on a solid season in 2016.  Marks:  17:07/ 36:50When not running: Working at a local start-up.

Kirk Scheibelhut

Kirk is an avid cyclist looking to turn his attention to competitive running for the first time since high school in Ontario, Canada.  He's off to a good start, placing fifth at the Santa Cruz XC Challenge in his first race for Strava.  Events: XC and TBD  When not running: Working at Google.

Amy Schnittger

Amy has demonstrated great range over a variety of distances both at Chico State and after graduation.  A DII All-American in the steeplechase, she is attacking her first marathon this fall. Marks: 10:25/ 16:52/ 1:16  When not running:  working for the California State Parks and squeezing in EMT training on the side.

Jonathan Tijerina

An All Big 12 standout at Baylor in Cross Country and Track, Jonathan comes to the team ready to compete after a year away from competitive running to transition to grad school.  Mark:  3:51  When not running:  Second year medical student at Stanford.

Tori Tsolis

Tori is a freshly minted UC Santa Barbara grad who has made tremendous strides in the middle distances as an All Big West performer for the Gauchos.  As a San Jose native returning for the Bay Area, she's looking forward to taking the next step.  Marks:  2:09/4:16  When not running:  Coaching Cross Country at Presentation High School, her alma mater.
